FTSE stands for Financial Times Stock Exchange. The newspaper, Financial Times developed FTSE 100 which includes a list of the 100 largest companies rated according to their market value. The FTSE 100 index is a share index that holds the 100 most highly capitalized companies enlisted by the London Stock Exchange. The FTSE group is a company that evolved with the joined efforts of the Financial Times and the London Stock Exchange.
